just wondering what everybodies favorite load for 30-06 is. Mine so far is 59gr of H4350 with a 165gr sierra hpbt and cci br2 primers. Pretty vanilla load but it works. Whats everybody elses fav?

49.5gr of IMR 4064 behind a Barnes 168gr ttsx. Shot 2- 3 shot groups well under a half inch from my tikka t-3 during load devlopment. Good for 2787fps and drops anything it hits.

I use IMR4064 with any 150 gr bullet; IMR4895 with the 165gr; and IMRor H 4350 with everything heavier. 30-06 loaded with IMR4350 and 180 gr partitions is a great combination.

My pet loads consist of 59 grains of Higginsons 47N or 60 grains of AMS 47 SB (lot 10) behind a 165 grain Partition.
For the 180 Partition, 61 grains of Norma MRP gets the nod.
For the 200 partition, 58.5 grains of Norma MRP
These are potent, accurate loads that cover any game on this continent.
Regards, Eagleye.

180 grain Nosler Partition or Hornady SP over 56.0 grains IMR 4350 in Winchester brass and using a standard LR primer. A classic combination that has worked in several rifles over the years. Some manuals stop at 55.0 grains. The .30-06 is the only reason that I keep a can of IMR 4350 in the house. I could replace it with Reloader 22 but 4350 has served me well. Similar to H4831 in a .270!

I have also shot quite a few Hornady 190 BTSP over 55.0 grains of IMR 4350 as years ago I bought a whole bunch of the Hornady bullets really cheap. They have made for great practice and some hunting in several .30-06 rifles and my pre-64 Winchester model 70 .300 H&H. I'm not a boat tail hunting bullet fan but they have been pretty good.

In my Thompson/Center Encore: 59 grs H4831 with a 150 gr Nosler Ballistic Tip.

Cast bullet load: 200 gr lead gas check with 15 grs Herco or 16 grs Herco with a 170 gr lead flat nose gas check.
