30-06 SPR for bear

Pretty much every animal that can be killed, has already been killed with the 30-06. Time to upgrade to some +30 cal. cartridge with an Ultra in front, otherwise your going to get eaten.

Hunting black Bear, Is the 30 06 enough? I'm shooting 180 gr Partitions. Range out to 200 yrds.

Plenty. pick your shot and its dead to rights.

30-06 is one fine caliber ,i have tried different calibers for hunting but always come back to the 06.180 partition will definitly kill a bear.I have used this on black bear and it works great.!have fun.

I've used 30-06 220 Hornady round nose and 180 grain Nosler partitions..
What I have seen others use and they all work.

Win 30-30 170 grain. 308 with 150 grain, 270 with a 150 grain...and a 12 bore slug.

My new one is 4570 with 350 Hornady round nose.
