I just loaded my first set of 30.06. 150gr jacketed bullets Hornady SSTs. I used the load table that came with my Lee die set. IMR4895 starting loads at 49 grains, max 53 grains. I got from 48.5 to 49.8 grains spread over 40 rounds.

Of course after I reloaded it all I checked the Lee reloading manual and it has different numbers... starts at 46 grains, max 49 grains. IMR4895...

So... what's going on? Should I be worried? What are your formulas?

43.3 imr 4895 168gr Sierra Match kings just kissing lands If you can make good shotys this load will dazzel you

Just because a load works wonder's in your rifle does not mean it will be any good in another.

To the OP. Check www.hogdgon.com in their relaoding data center. You will find every publisher has different max loads. I wouldn't worry, but check as many different sources as possible.

Always start low and work your way up. I have three reloading manuals and everyone lists different loads than the other.

Lots of things have changed over the years in powder composition even if it is the same kind as before.

Liability is always a issue and most companies are extremely cautious about what they recommend.

Start testing with the mild load first and work up so long as there are no pressure signs. be prepared to learn something and bring some of them home to be pulled.

I think 50 is about max in my rifle.
