30-06 to 25-06?

Made some of these last night and was wondering if there was any step I missed. The empties chamber but I was wondering about neck thickness once a bullet is seated. Also, it would appear that this would be easier to do with 270 brass (didn't have that).
 
If you have lots of .30-06 or .270 brass go ahead but it's not like the .25-06 is an obsolete cartridge and brass is hard to find. Save yourself some headache and use the real thing.
 
I noticed you too are from the Winnipeg area, and 25/06 has been tough for me to find as well. Even 270. (maybe its just that we are looking right around deer season?) Neck down the 30/06 and trim as required. Happy shooting!
 
Thanks guys. I just hadn't done that before. It was actually only marginally harder than resizing the 25-06 brass.
25-06 isn't the only brass that is hard to find around here; 243, 7X57, 250 Savage, 270, 6.5x55. There has been more 260 brass around here this summer than 270 or 25-06. Powder and primers have not been great either. For a city this size with both a Cabela's and WSS it sucks.

Since 25-06 is a wildcat, don't think there would be as saami spec to guide you regarding neck diameter...so, if you can't get the info from whoever chambered the gun...probably the safest plan would be to measure the neck diameter of a factory loaded round and do the same with a loaded round using the necked down brass.
