Another great choice is Remington Core-Lokt ammo. Rated at 2410 fps muzzle speed (22" barrel?) vs. 2360 fps for the Sako 220gr Hammerheads (23.6" barrel). I chose 220gr intended for Moose and paid the premium for the Hammerheads for a core bond bullet.
I've used 35 Whelen 250gr Core-Lokt ammo on Moose. Would have preferred a bullet that penetrates more deeply with less weight loss.
