30-30 150 or 170?

150 grn for the past 30 years. I'm not changing. I'm happy with the performance on deer. I have it dialed in perfect

I’ve been loading the suggested 140 monoflex, it shoots extremely well and gets the .30-30 to respectable speeds.

All my game shot with a 30-30 was with a Hornady 150 gr Round nose over 30 grs of IMR3031 and a CCI200 sparker. Always worked WELL ! RJ

Both my marlins shoot ever so slightly more accurate with the 170 FN Hornady than the 150 Speer, but not enough of a difference to matter for hunting. Been fueling my loads with LVR powder.

Even though I haven't owned a 30-30 in years, I stumbled on this video today and then this thread.

I've even loaded 180gr RN in a 1-12 30-30 no issues with accuracy.
