30-30 Accelerator ammo

I have some in 30.06. The trajectory is really different as you'd expect. I did not find it particularly accurate out of my favourite hunting rifle.

You can make you own ..... Google is your friend ...... There is a company out of the states that sells the sabots.... And reload info .... And a guy on here who has them ..... I bought some off him ... But never got around to loading some up .... This thing call work gets in the way....... I'd have to look for the email .... If you want pm me and I'll look for his info .... Nice guy from out east

To bad your not closer. I have two boxes. Still trying to decide whether to shoot them to reload the brass or sell them. IIRC I had them up on the ee for a couple of weeks, some time ago, with no one showing interest.
 
There's a reason why they never really took off - accuracy suffers greatly, at least to unacceptable levels. I bought 25 sabots years ago and shot them with 55 gr 223 bullets out of a 300 Win Mag. Loaded from "Powder puff" to Max Loads and was able to keep most within a 12" circle at 100 yds, but no better. I did not chrony them, as I was concerned with debris (i.e. The sabot) striking the chrony, however I estimate that the MV's ranged from about 2500 to 4500 fps.

Interesting and fun to try, but not practical IMO.
