30-30 bullet of choice

I use 30 grains of 3031 and whatever 170g FN or RN bullet I have.

For cast bullets I have some Lyman 173g FNBBGC which I plan on loading up over the winter.

Anyone using Frontier flat nose (truncated) copper plated bullets? I have a bunch I bought from Marstar a while back for general plinking in this caliber (they do cycle well in the M-14 too), but wonder if anyone actually uses them to hunt.

Years ago, when I first started hunting, the 170 grain Winchester Silvertip, and the Remington Core lokt worked very well for me.

Later, when I started reloading, I used home cast lead bullets, and the Hornady Interlock.

The 170 Hornady Interlock is my bullet of choice for any reasonable game taken with the 30-30 up to and including moose.

I like the WW bulk 150 grain RN's. Power Points?

Am I the only one having a hard time finding these?

I bought 500 a few years ago and I'm down to the last 40 rounds of loaded ammo or so.

Anyone load the 150-170 grain RN Sierras with the "Power Jacket?" Product code 2000 and 2010 in that order. I have a few squirrelled away for future experiments, along with about two dozen Sierra 125 grain HPs that are safe for tubular magazines.
