30-30 bullets

I dont understand. If you are looking for plinkers why would they need to be the same weight as your hunting bullets. If you want to go cheap plinking buy a bunch of 110gr 30 carbine plated bullets. Use 5gr red dot, bullseye, 700x or the like and plink away. You likely will have to make sight adjustments between your plinking loads though. I use cast myself but with experimenting I have found some plinking/small game loads that hit same poi as my full power hunting loads (also cast)

Plinker loads for 30/30 - I bought Speer 110 grain Hollow Point - new boxes are labeled "Varmint" on top. Speer #1835. Bought them through Mystic Precision in Nov. 2019. Other vendors may have them in stock or can order them in... 12 powders listed in Speer #14 manual with speeds from 1934 fps to 2708 fps in a Winchester 94 with 20" barrel. Speer notes for this bullet that some "later model" 30/30 have shorter throats than previous - can cause interference to the rifling.

30-30 and cast go together like PB and jam. That's all my 30-30s eat. I'm quite fond of the little 113 gr soup can bullet and great luck with the rcbs 180gr fn which casts out close to 200gr.
