30-30 For Deer....Thumbs Up or Down?

And later this became the very barn broadside that the Rugar mini 14 was tested on...and it still doesn't leak or let the draft in. :D

Thank-you Noel, H4831 & Boomer very helpful and interesting......

Thank you for your nice comment. The other two are probably similar to me, in that I am a avid historian and enjoy passing things on and keeping segments of bygone days alive.
Too many times in my life I have waited too long to get information from someone, then it became too late.

I'd say I am similar to what H4831 is saying, to a tee. Most all of it circles around my family and their close friends. So few people know any history of their family it really is sad. I never realized it until it was almost too late. I won't go into details but I am hell bent for leather finding out everything I can. Once they are gone, they're gone, learned that the hard way.

Give your head a shake and go visit an old man. Let them talk, let them do all the talkin. Listen and learn. I only wish there was a way I could do it every day instead of going to the salt mine. It is an honor to share these old pics and to even have some stories to go with them. If even a few take notice I have succeeded. Maybe it's time to show the whole hoard.
