I have used W748 for years in my 30-30 trapper. Anyone ever try H-335? Have a couple cans of it, and thought I'd give it a try? Thanks.

It will be similar with 150 grain bullets. It will be a little slower with 170's

I also have a 1982 Winchester 30-30 trapper model and used 748 for years and compared data from the Lyman manual for the 30-30 contender pistol and its shorter barrel.
At the link below you will see H335 had the highest velocities in the 14 inch Contender barrel. I wish I could provide more information, I made some H335 workup loads but haven't fired them yet in my Trapper 30-30. I was going to mount my magnetospeed chronograph to the top of the barrel and just eyeball the target backstop and test 748 vs H335 velocities.

I just loaded a few 150 grain Hornady interlocks with 37 grains of Lever. I haven't tried them yet. Is anybody else using this combo?

Leverevolution gets more out of the 30-30 than any other powder I have ever tried.
I use 36.5 grains behind the 170 grain pills, 37.5 behind the 160 flex tip, and 38.0 behind the 150 grain Winchester silvertip FN.
Accurate and fast in my 2 30-30 rifles [Both Marlins, one a 336 (20") and the other a 336A (24")]
Took a Whitetail buck with the carbine and the 170 Speer FN 2 falls ago. 85 yards, one shot through lungs, DRT. Dave.
