30-30 reloads with fire out of Barrel?? Help!

Try some Reloader 7. According to quickload, it will give a more complete burn even with low charge weights. Lyman lists it as working well for low velocity cast bullet loads.

Took the old 30-30 out again last weekend and shot off another 80 rounds of the "Fireball"

Now that I am used to it it is quite fun and entertaining, especially in the dark!

A thread hijack of sorts...

I just ordered some 110 v-max for my 30-30 (Savage 24V 30-30 / 20 guage so the spire points are welcome).

Currently I am using IMR 3031 with 150 grain Hornady BTSP and it is amazingly accurate and seems to work well on critters (as the black bear that I just harvested demonstrated). I was thinking of using the 3031 for the 110 grain bullets as it is kinda hard to get powder where I live. I am planning to use the 110 for coyote and wolf hunting.

I was just wondering from those with way more knowledge then I have and programs that I do not have if this is an OK idea or if I should start looking and ordering some new powder.

Thanks for the help guys.

308 V-Max are not necessarily the most accurate bullet out of many guns. Hope you didn't order a truckload of them....;)
