30-30 semi auto ever-made/ produced ??

Rimmed rounds usually suck in semis. I do remember the semi .303's mentioned earlier, seems to me they never worked very well. Some even suggested they were unsafe.

The problem with rimmed cartridges in a magazine is if ones rifle does not have a cartridge cut off device (like a Mosin) then it will be prone to double loading and be picky about how it or a charger is loaded (like an Enfield).

A few things off the top of my head;

The dragunov sniper rifle is an auto loader in 7.62 x 54R.

The Bren gun was chambered in .303 british and so was the Vickers as a belt fed MG.

Also there are some old savage rifles around that are 30-30 and have a 4 round box mag with a bolt action. Round/Flat noses feed fine from a mag in a bolt action so why not a semi?

To my knowledge, no auto loading 30-30 was ever made, but if someone wanted to make one, a rimmed case or round/flat nose wouldn't stop them from doing it. And as mentioned, when you get away from the tube mag, you can run a pointed .308 bullet, .307" is just to keep stupid people from putting pointed rounds in a tube mag.
