30-30 which weight load and game you use

If you are loading that 160 FTX, try 36/37 grains of Leverevolution, It is magic in my 2 30-30 Marlins.
However, as has been noted, they are a bit fragile in close, so pick your shots accordingly. Dave.

The safe and sound tried and true as stated the 170gr Power Point, Fusion, etc, etc.

I’d be interested personally in how the monoflex line of levergun rounds perform. Do the bullets readily expand, penetrate, perform?

Deep Curl was the bullet released for reloaders based on the Fusion. Slightly different.

i rekon the 30-30 would do the job from what the Lads mention here- shot placement! an limiting the distance of course, but as always.. the 308 will be a Dandy game getter without much hassle.

That’s good to hear, I’m looking to switch over to either the TSX or Hornady monoflex. Would prefer Barnes as standard length cases can be used.

I only have taken deer with the 30-30 so the 150 grain was more than sufficient.
