Hello,is somebody have a load using IMR 4064 in 30-30 win cast bullet .309. 170gr fn,sized .308 ,barrel slug .309.thank you

Hodgdon's site gives a min load of 29.8gr (1990fps) and a max load of 31.7gr (2090fps) with a 170gr jacketed bullet, so those should be perfectly safe numbers for your cast bullet. You may have leading issues at the ~2000fps velocities those loads will give.

Hello,i check the chart is good info,i check in the Lyman cast bullet,for .308 winchester is the same dia of 30-30 winchester

200gr IMR 4064 24.6gr powder fps 1647
160gr IMR 4064 26.8gr powder fps 1786
122gr IMR 4064 27.2 gr powder fps 1791

so i can use for 170gr IMR 4064 around 23gr considered the dia of cattridge

Do not use jacketed bullet data for cast bullets. Drives 'em too fast.
I have 173 and 176 grain cast data in my old Lyman manual if you want it.

I checked two books for IMR 4064 in 30-30 win with a cast bullet NO INFO
so it is probably not the best powder to use

Unique and trail boss, will give the lightest recoil

2400 and IMR 4227 are in both of my books as well as some other powder

You might need to size bullet to 0.309 or .310 to get it to shoot right
