One of my favourite light plinking loads is a 160gn unchecked cast round over 8gns Unique. Max described load for this round is about 10gns, but 8 is a sweet spot for me. I would think you could get to 10gns Unique without problem, but I would of course suggest you walk and not run. I still mean to get around to picking up some of those berry's plated rounds, but there is just so much to play with in hard cast, lots of fun and easy on the wallet.
I don't want to hijack this thread but I have some Unique and some plated Berry's bullets (150 grn) I am working my way up in the velocity and so far I am using 5.7 grains of Unique. This is a tame loading and was wondering how far I can go with the plated (copper) bullets????
Any recommendations on a bullet mould, all of mine so far are Lee dual cavity type.
