took my big black with a long lee .303 British in old imperial ammo . one shot one kill. no need to go overboard if you know your gun.

No good. Must say MAGNUM somewhere for it to be ok for bears, doesn't say MAGNUM anywhere up there^. Like 44 MAGNUM, 44cal is %150 of 30cal.

There are many better cartridges in my opinion... but it would kill a bear.

If you had to use it istead of your 22LR, it'll do. Just make sure you wear a heavy hunting jacket.
