I recently purchased a WBY accumark chambered in a 30-378. I am going to put some good glass on it and try some long range gong ringing and possibly hunting. I'm looking for some info from those who have some experience reloading for this caliber, and what they have to say in regards to reloading for this riffle using Nosler LR in either 190gr or the 210gr LR. Maybe I should be using Bergers?
Do they work as good as Nosler claims? Not just in regards to expansion etc, but does the BC really hold true? What grain of bullet should a guy go with 190 or 210. I'm leaning towards the 210? What coal, Powders etc. New to this caliber but not new to reloading so I do know I have to try it in my own riffle, but some starting points and person experience with this caliber and bullet type would be much appreciated!!!

Hoping to get to 1000 plus yards...

Thanks in advance!

Curtis.

I've never used the bullets you mentioned in my 30/378 as I use the 200 gr Nosler Part. Having said that I find ,of the powders available today Retumbo and RL-33 are good powders. In mine H 870 has been real good but has been discontinued . I have tried Berger 210 VLD's with H 1000 and my results were not that good, but I didn't do a lot of load development . If I were to start load development with the LRAB I would start with the 210 and R-33.I find the Fed 215 primer the best in mine,as I always seem to get hang fires, pressure spikes or other weird things when I use other brand primers. Hope this helps.
