im looking for some good loads for the 30 378 weatherby plan on shooting 180gr barnes tsx

Start with 300 Rem Ultra Mag loads and work up if you don't have a manual listing 30-378. 50 BMG and US 869 , possibly Retumbo should be the powders of choice

For deer, in my friends accumark, I load 110 TTSX, norma headstamp brass, 215 primer, H1000, bullet seated to the first groove in the bullet and crimped. 4060 fps, 3 shot 3/4" groups consistently, and hammers deer hard. Makes a mess when hit in the shoulder though!
