30 br owners?

Any 30br benchrest rifle owners here? If so are you using a recoil lug between the barrel and action? Are you gluing in the action? Or are you doing a pillar bed only or bedded and glued?

I don’t shoot score so not much help , in group with a 6ppc just glue the action no recoil lug ,adds unecessary weight , try benchrest.ca

I’d have to count, but probably have about 8 barrels chambered in 30BR .... from skinny contour #2 Kreiger to HV contours. I have them on Barnard S / Barnard SM / BAT Rptr / Stiller Predator actions so both spigot and sandwich recoil lugs. I am not a BR competitor but can tell you they all shoot well. Can’t offer any experience with glued actions but I can’t imagine why it would be needed?

My 30br is built on a Stiller predator v action with a standard pinned recoil lug, bedded to the stock. I don’t shoot much score anymore but if score is your game it’s very hard to beat the 30br.

Agreed , 30’s have size advantage in score so are Very hard to beat , group is caliber neutral so they don’t do well there
