30 Caliber Bullet

Looking for advice on a 30 caliber bullet. Going to start reloading for the 300wsm. Need an accurate bullet for 100-300 yd shots on whitetails.

Suggestions?

Speer HotCor or BTSP or Grandslam, Hornady Interlock or SST or BTSP, Nosler BT or Accubond or Partition, Barnes TSX, Swift Scirocco, Sierra gameking; these will all do what you want. Might want to go with a tougher bullet though when using the magnums "up close".

swift scirroco 180 or noz accubond. up close or far away. the swift is my favorite.

A magnum cartridge for deer within 300 yards, bonded or partitioned. I would be using a 180 Partition first, then an accubond, then a scirocco II, then maybe an a-frame.

I would stay away from cup and core bullets, and any "core locked" bullet as well.

On whitetails anything will work, I used 150 gr Ballistic tips, although at lower velocities than the WSM.
