anyone know where to get a new one, im lucky to have a non restricted but need it replaced with another one. aqnyone know where to buy or anyone make them?

You Could always have the current barrel relined, Bits of Pieces in BC offer that service and there are pictures on thier website. It may cost less then getting a new barrel.

Not all that hard to make one up. Hardest part would be getting a blank with 1-in-16 rifling. Numrich makes them in 18" length, but that gives TWO sets of problems.

It's hard to have a gun when the law is specifically designed to destroy that exact gun.

Likely 100,000 Carbines imported over the years, all banned because TWO were used by criminals. Doesn't make sense, but this is Canada. (Q) Why not put the crooks in jail? (A) Because they might shoot back; easier to pick on the people who don't shoot at cops. Again, doesn't make sense but that appears to be the reasoning.... if any.

There should be a requirement that laws make sense from a logical POV.

But that would put too many Liberal appointees out of work.

Saw one at Milarm in Edmonton today. Not sure if it was restricted or non. Forgot to look close or ask. No markings on the barrel so guessing that it is an aftermarket barrel. Comes with a front sight, Type III barrel band and no gas piston. $250.
