Anyone have any thoughts on the Sig Zee vs the XTR Xtreme Tactical rings by Burris.

When you are looking at the quality of different rings what types of things do you look for? We know Nightforce, Badger etc are good rings but what do you look for that would set them apart from a set of Warne or Sako rings. I have noticed when lapping some medium priced rings that there are high spots. I assume you don't find this on the high end rings? Is it primarily the hardness of materials they use to manufacture the rings that determine quality?

On my target rifle. 223 with 90 gr pills
I'm looking at mounting a 60 mm target scope and have a good EGW 20 MOA rail. With a 56 mm scope I can use low Burris XTR Xtreme rings with just enough clearance for the front cap. However with going to a bigger scope and the increased height I think I need a better set of rings
I like the Sig Zee because they don't mark the scope but am thinking of going with a best tear quality set of rings. Ie Nightforce, badger, Mark4 etc

Any thoughts or suggestions. I don't like spending extra $ just for a name if it doesn't really provide me with better performance.

I cannot tell about the ZEE, but I am used to TPS and BADGER rings and the set of buriss tactical I have is pure garbage, it will go off as soon the other badger shows up

What are the things that make you feel the Burris XTR Xtreme are garbage in comparison to your tsp/badgers?

my XTR are fine, but they needed lapping.

Once lapped they contact fine and grip fine, didnt move at all after 300 shots.
