Just working up a load for my 300wsm, want to shoot these out to 6-800 yards ... Most likely inside 600 yards. Anyway, i have read the BC on the ABLR's is greatly exaggerated. Does anyone one have any info on specifically the 190gr .30 cal ABLR ? I would like to know if anyone one has figured out the true BC on these bullets, it would save me quite a bit if grief if someone could share their experience

Thanks

When people start bad mouthing BCs online its important to know who they work for, and/or whose knob they are trying to polish, or just how well they are coming along with their parrot imitations classes.

If I wanted to make the 190 look bad I'd shoot it out of a hamstrung .308 and calculate it as an average from muzzle to where I could catch it in my teeth. That wouldn't be lieing; but it wouldn't exactly be telling what you want to know which is how close the published BCs will work out at magnum velocity out to 6-700 yards.

I can help you with that. Don't be surprised if the bullets fly flatter than you calculate, or fall into despair if they don't drift as much as you iphone suggests.

My favourite load in my Sako 85 Finlight, it's what I'm using and over 3k fps. Don't know the real BC, but with a CDS no issues with accuracy out to 800, very flat trajectory for what it is etc, and it's my light weight hunting rifle. Switched from a 3150fps 165gr TTSX after I confirmed the 190gr ABLR load.

I'm assuming that you are going to use them for hunting? I used them in the .300 Win from 50 to 1000 yards with many in the 3-700 yard range . Fallows and reds; and way more than enough to establish what they would do. They are visious killers at every range I used them at. Not a choice for people who want to eat up to the bullet hole.
