Well this project has been in the works for a while. Had the action, stevens with a 308 bolt face, got a .223 bolt face off the EE here. AICS chassis built for savage, benchmark 30 cal 1-8 twist 1.25 straight contour barrel (finished at 11.5 inches), SSS trigger, and wearing a falcon menace 4.5-18x56 for the time being. Had my night force on it as well but that belongs on another rifle. Not sure what I will end up with but this will do till I figure it out. Been loading 200g lapua's and 110 vmax's. The sub lapua's were not horrible sound wise and grouped well.(still use hearing protection) 110 vmax's same but of course, louder. Absolutely no recoil at all cause of rifles weight and iddy biddy size of round. Is really fun to shoot. Lookin forward to shooting some coyotes with the 110's. Was doing load development last weekend with it so didn't photograph groups but goin out again this weekend so will have some 5 round groups. Benchmark barrel is awesome. Put 30-40 rounds through it...(not a real break in fan) came home and wipeout foamed the barrel. First puddle came out black and almost no blue at all. Dry patched it and repeated. Clear. Dry patched again and one more shot to be sure, clear and clean patches. Barrel looks like a mirror. Really happy with it and was only about a 6 week wait from when it was ordered. Coolest part of this was that I did most of the barrel work and chambering myself. Need to do a skim coat bedding job still but it's doing really well without it. Will bed it no matter what just to take that variable out of the equation. Still need to build a thread protector for it.

I have a harris bipod as well that will probably look better...I just wanted it super short. My pdw back pack rifle...haha

Cutting down .223 brass. I have close to 1000 pieces so why not.

Just wanted it as short as possible. Powder is burnt up within the first 9 inches and despite the weight of the chassis it shoots really nice off hand. I know most people doing these in bolt guns are going for 14-16 inches but I figured why not.

Something seemless do I will make it out of some 1.25 round with one large port or two smaller. Just something fun.

Awsome idea. I've been playing around with the blackout on an ar platform but never though of doing something like this. Its impressive at how efficient the blackout is with such a short barrel.

It's totally a short range precision backpack gun. The 110's will reach out to 400. We will see how accurately. It also has a 16 inch 223 barrel being worked on as well.
