300 BLK ammo

I reload but it seems like a ##### to trim all those .223 brass with my hand cranked trimmer. I do have dies on the way and would have liked the factory brass

221 Fireball is the parent case for 300 Whisper. The easiest method is to simply neck up the 221 case.

HOWEVER. That is by far the most expensive route. Native 221 brass is very expensive and can be difficult to find.

The best way to source 300 Whisper brass is to size and cut down 223 Rem brass, which is cheap and easy to find.

All I do is remove the decapping stem from my size die and run the 223 brass through it.

Then cut or trim the case to the proper length for 300 Whisper. Re-install the decapping pin on your size die and run the cases through again and you will have ready to use 300 Whisper cases.

also if you use the rcbs trimmer u can very easily chuck up a drill onto the cutting spindle to make it go quick fast.!
