A buddy picked up a Ruger #1 re-chambered for .300 Dakota. Trying to find some data for loads, but doesnt seem to be much out there. Anyone have experience with this cartridge? He's wanting to shoot 200 grainers.

What's its case capacity? Find another 30 cal cartridge with a bit less capacity, and use its loads.
 
The Hornady 8th Edition handloading book has a full list of data on the 300 Dakota. 110gr all the way up to 220gr.

IMR 7828 min 66.9 gr 2800fps - max 74.6gr 3100fps
RL-25 min 72.9gr 2800 fps - max 81.5gr 3100fps
H-4831 min 69.9gr 2800fps - max 75.8gr 3000fps
H-1000 min 71.7gr 2800fps - max 81.6 gr 3100 fps
WIN WMR min 70.6gr 2800 fps - max 78.9gr 3100 fps

Thats the closest to a 200gr bullet I have listed, cheers

Hey Remington Jimmy, by chance ".330 Dakota" is also buddy with my friend with the .300 Dak. We're all going for Elk up in the Peace some where in September.
