300 fireball

1.What would be the best twist for a barrel for AR15 for 300 fireball( 300 whisper or 30-221)
2.type of ammo: heavy bullet near 200g
3.Wanna do subsonic
Just to be different of my usual 223 AR
Will call ATRS monday but for the moment your opinion

1:8 is ideal but 1:10 will work fine for most applications.

Subsonics can go as low as 150gr but 180-200 is prob the best range.

Subsonic is not as quiet as you think it will be. Still about as loud as a 9mm handgun.

300 Whisper is facking COOL!

I got my dies with a rifle purchase. I think they came from SSK. Dies can be had from Redding. Ask DocM, he just recently got a set.

Redding made my dies for the .300 Whisper, they are a stocked item, they call them .300/221 as J.D. Jones owns the "Whisper" name. I bought the deluxe die set which has both the neck size die and the full length die and made my cases from .222 Rem. cases.
