Anybody shoot these in the slow twist micro-groove barrels that the older 444 marlins came in? I am wondering if they will stabilize. :)

240gord gave me a few to try and they seemed to be OK. I'll have to get more on my next 'shopping' trip. I'd like to try them out a little more. Other than that, I've had good results with the Hornady 265gr FP, both for accuracy and on Moose.

Have an early 1970's .444 Marlin 22'' brl. 3 x 9 Bushnell...will shoot under an inch with 300 gr Sierra..55.0 grains H335....2113..2144..2128 fps .......no stability problems

Have had good success with 330 grain cast bullets also with no stability problems at 2000 fps..

hs45/70.........your mileage may vary

Apparently Speer makes a 300 grain uni-cor sp bullet which works well in the 444 marlin. Would this make a better choice than the 300 grain XTP? I will be using H322 powder.
