Thanks to everyone for the kind comments. My goal is to have a double trigger installed, however very hard to find. At one time Kleppenger manufactured them but I can't seem to find them. Kleppenger does make the single set trigger but I perfer the double. I have already emailed Ralf Martini (AKA Martini and Hagn) about the trigger, however he is stateside at gun shows. Martini or Hagn are the guys who can do it for me.......I hope. Well in the meantime I will have to just sit and wait. Also plan on dressing the gun up with a leather slip butt pad that will hold two rounds with matching sling.

I've had a pre-64 model 70 in the Super 30 for quite a few years and shot several moose with it. I bought several bags of Winchester cases from Epps and they have lasted well. Rifle wears a classic old Leopold 6x which suits it. I had several boxes of Hornady 190 grain btsp bullets on the shelf and boy did she shoot those well. I only loaded them to just over 2900 fps (and rarely use bt bullets) but they performed well. Always meant to get some 180 grain partitions, but never have as I don't get to hunt moose anymore. I contemplated taking it after deer this fall but used my trusty 6.5 Swede instead.

Ubiquitous 375 H&H and a FL sizing die. Problem solved unless you're headed to Africa with it.
I've got a Pre 64 in 300 H&H but haven't taken anything with it yet.
The 300 H&H is an excellent cartridge that's proven itself time and time again. . It's my favorite in a pre-64 M70. . New brass and ammo is still available and should be for a long time to come as custom rifles continue to be made in 300 H&H. .

I purchased two boxes of Nosler Custom brass the other day, however they don't come cheap..............$80.00 per box and there is only a 25 count per box. I guess that either I'm a fool or loyal to Nosler. Hornady also manufactures them at a better price, around $70.00 per box of 50. Norma also makes them along with Winchester and Remington, therefore; they can be found, however not as easily as other 300 magnum cases.
Hi: I have an old Remington 721 in 300 H&H, use it for pretty much anything. Had it rebuilt by Karl Schmidt in Edmonton.
P&D have brass, there's lots of good loads, only problem I've had was a case rupture just ahead of the web, case was
stuck in the chamber, base was ejected! Need to inspect cases carefully for cracks or bright rings, didn't have any
indication of failure with this particular case while reloading, luckily it was at the range, needed a gunsmith to get it out.

I have been using Nosler brass for three or four years and find it to be excellent brass, except for their price; however, can't beat Lapua brass but they don't make it for this cartridge. Hornady "looks" good but have never used it. BTW, why did you post a page on the double triggers/NECG? I looked at it good, but did I miss something? I was hoping to see something for a Ruger #1.

i can be wrong but seems Nosler 300 h&h are Norma ....

Real nice bull cariboo! So the 300 H&H does kill. Can't wait until I get mine out this fall hunting, however, in the meantime I will have lots of fun with load development. Congrats again!Since we have some pictures up here's an action shot of my 300 H&H on a trip up north
