I rechecked my manuals (again) and was satisfied that 63.5 grs would be a safe starting load; went to the range today.

FYI IMR-4350 sure is a good powder!

I fired 5 shots into an inch with avg MV of 2700 fps with the 200 gr Accubond. Wonderful load, right out of the box. I am not going to do anything 'cept load up enough for deer hunting!

As I said, I also mixed this same 63.5 grs with H-4350 and IMR-4831 and those were pretty decent accuracy wise, just progressively slower. The H-4350 avg'd 2650 fps and the IMR-4831 2600 fps. They were both good enough to go hunting with tomorrow... like 1.5" for 5 shots.

Oh yea, I took one shot then adjusted the scope. It was bang on after that one adjustment.

Then I put 14 rounds of 200gr Nosler Accubond with IMR-4350, H-4350 and IMR-4831 in an 1.5".

Fools, fools that passed on that gun...

Demonical I had to do about 4 adjustments to mine when I put the scope on it. Yes they shoot like a dream wouldn't let anyone have mine for any money.
Feels good, feels balanced, just love that gun.

I just got my (new to me) 300H&H back from Bevan King.

I found a new Browning Safari bbl at WGP. Bevan installed it to to fit the original Browning stock.

It will be nice when done, but I hope it shoots as well as the one I sold.

I'm with Bartell, can't kill a deer with a 200 gr bullet going any slower than 3000 fps.

Yes, if you passed on this gun you are a dope!!

I am no dope Demonical, I just have needs that include a long piece of springy metal running down the length of the bolt on one side to yank that mammoth spent case out.

You will notice Paul is building just a beast now, in , oh, isn't it another 300 H&H........

But seriously, glad to hear it works so well for you and am glad to hear there is a Super 30 going to make thunder in good old Alberta.
