Anybody have any experience with this Cartridge. I've been thinking about building a rifle in this Chambering and any info would be great I know it'll be a bbl burner but man I think it'd be fun to shoot.
 
I've heard most don't bother with it due to such a short barrel life. If you had a supply of .308 blanks and the tooling to spin up your own I could see a guy playing with it. It is damn impressive however, but the cost of a barrel burned through in a few hundred rounds is tough to swallow for most. I'm sure the reamers could be procured if needed.
 
I have one. It is truly awe inspiring what it can achieve. Ammo is a bit of a PITA to make but worth it in the end. I shoot 225 HPBT Hornadys @ 3100 fps with zero pressure signs or even the slightest bit of hard bolt lift. Bbl should be good for 1200-1500 rds. This rifle can be pushed wayyyyyy harder than 3100 fps but bbl life will suffer tremendously.
 
5 shot 8" group at 1100m 20kmph wind is not too shabby;-) I gotta build another one when the wife gets working again. My Mexican uncle at North Shore Barrelitos will be the one I see.

Swissin wait until you get your LRA bipod I cannot wait to check it out!
