Hi.. So i have been loading my nickle brass for my 300. I have only reloaded about 2 times so far on these brass and already have 1 cracked neck. I have never used nickle brass on any of my rifles so i have very limited experience with these.

What kind of mileage are you getting out of your nickle brass? I think because these brass are harder, you will probably get low mileage.
If 2 or three is an average i will not buy nickle anymore. They sure chamber nice though .

I am only necksizing these BTW.

Thanks

I don't think there is any difference in the brass as far as hardness or anything goes, I think the reason nickel plated brass is considered worse for reloading is the plating can start to flake off and plug up your dies.

if you were using normal brass I would say annealing the brass would reduce/solve the issue of the necks splitting but I cant imagine annealing would be a good idea with nickel plated brass.

im sure someone with more experience with nickel plated brass will chime in. ive only ever reloaded nickel in pistol cartridges.
