Many are quite comfortable with their 300magnums and do not feel the urge to brag at every oppertunity.

I don't even think that the .300 mags are all that impressive. I have a .308 Remington 600 Mohawk that has worse felt recoil than my .300 Win Mag, .300Wby Mag and a .338 Lapua mag.

I fell for the marketing gimmic. I couldn't live without one. It was terrible. I couldn't sleep or concentrate on my work. There was only one thing to do. Just go out and buy a 300WSM. Now I am at peace.
Except with my wife & the family budget.

Well, then peace be with you fellow 300WSM brother. It's a great cartridge and I love it. Short action, light handling (bucks a bit on the bench), easy loading. Happy shooting and hunting.
