Hey guys,

So a buddy recently put me onto these two calibers and I'm kinda intrigued. I'm more traditional in my hunting, (straight 3006 guy) but I shot a deer with a 6.5 creedmore this year and it was pretty cool how easy it was! So that's why I'm kinda interested. Anyone know if anyone is even making rifles in these calibers or is it just a custom thing right now?

There are several rifle manufacturers chambering rifles in these cartridges already, while many are semi custom and not inexpensive, a few of the main ones are starting to.
Browning seems to be one heavy into the 6.5's, you might try them first.I haveonly been looking for left hand 6.5 PRC and that is definitely still limited!
Now that the US military has chosen the 300 PRC as their new sniper cartridge, we should see a number of manufacturers add this chambering to their list of available rifles.

I thought the switched to 6.5 creedmore? I'm not too interested in the custom rifle mostly because I'm looking into a hunting rifle, it's gunna put on alot of miles on a backpack. It's gotta work not be a bench queen.

None of my custom rifles are bench queens; they all get hunted in the field, and mostly carried in the hands, not a backpack.
That said, I do have an Eberlestock daypack so that I can "pack" a rifle while climbing steep, difficult terrain and need my hands free, or a backup rifle for when archery hunting.

Custom rigs do not have to be heavy, long range sniper rigs. They can be lightweight, handy mountain rifles or thick brush rifles that are quick and handy.
Therein lies the beauty of the custom rifle; it can be taylored to your specific needs and purposes.
And they do not have to be overly expensive. With the right donor rifle or action, a replacement barrel and/or stock, you can be into one for $1200-$1500, and of course, more.
Looking at something in a newer cartridge could be more difficult to find or build, but not impossible.

There are definitely some quality rifles being offered by today's manufacturers at very reasonable prices. With these newer cartridges, it may just take a little time for one of them to make the rifle you are looking for in one of these cartridges.

Did find this on Browning website; 6.5 PRC

NEW X-BOLT MAX LONG RANGE -- ALL NEW ADJUSTABLE STOCK , IN 6.5 PRC

Apparently Remington is offering 4 different versions of the Model 700 in 300 PRC from their Custom Shop
