Been awhile since I've posted up anything so I thought I'd get an opinion or 2 from the crew here.

Does anyone have any hunting load recomendations for a .300 RUM? I'd like to stick with nosler bullets but I don't have a reloading manual that has any info on this cartridge.

2nd Does anyone know about doing reduced loads on a .223?
Thanx for the read.

I had the best luck with R-25 and 180gr bullets in my own 300ultramags.I did use some Nosler bullets, but my go to bullet for elk and moose was the 180gr tsx.

For the reduced .223 loads check out Calhoon Bullets website. Alliant Blue Dot is good for .223 reduced loads.

Too much kick for ya? :D

300 rum

Partition 220 grs....89 grs reloader 25...3000 fps
Accubond 200 grs ...92 grs reloader 25...3280 fps

Both under .5 mao

thanx for the info guys... and to clarify the reduced 223 question, I was looking for somthing small to knock both Cougar and Bobcat out of a tree. Regular loads are fine on Cougar but are a little rough on the bobs. A .22 is really a good choice but not legal to use so had to step up a little.
