This is an informal how to for all you who shoot 300 Savage and have problems finding brass. I was having the same issues till I was told of the case to case variance between the 30-06 Springfield .308 Win .243 etc and the 300 Savage. So without further ado heres the how to ..

li tumble & lube the cases well , deprime in the original caliber if i have it
i then take the depriming pin out of my 300 sav die and slowly size it in the die. if its an 06 brass i do this in stages and trim along the way to minimize excess material .
once all the brass goes through the stage like this i trim to just over length . i then chamfer and deburr i replace the depriming pin and then resize the lot. now i trim to final size . once thats done deburr and chamfer again . NOW to ensure proper fit Necksizeing is a very good choice, some worn rifles do not require this but some will. photos to follow

300Savage factory brass IS possible.

Pricey but available... at least for now.

You can also form from any case in the same family - ie 22-250, 250 Savage.

Or neck down anything from the 308 family... alot more work.

For the number of cases you are likely to need, I would just get some factory brass and call it done.

Thats almost hearsay saying you can have too much brass....... for the model 99C that i have i have almost 400 rounds for it . thats for a 1954 lever action rifle Imagine what i have for my SKS's and others :) not a heck of a lot of work just mainly running the trimmer. i run my conversion to 300 Sav as a production line thus the number of brass that i have.
