Rats! So I bought the #4 Barnes book, and while it will be useful, one of the things missing (which is in the #3 book by the way), is 300 Savage data. Guess I could use the "x" data from book #3, and move slowly up if there seems to be a need. Anyone have any favorite recipes, or know of a source for published data using the TSX bullets?

Mind you, both the 'X' and 'TSX' are solid copper. Likely the same data anyway.

Different pressures. That's what the TSX rings are for.

Anyway, the minimum charges from the #3 manual can be used as a starting point for the TSX. That's what I did for my .338WM when the #4 didn't list the powders I had on hand. I didn't get as far up the ladder as I thought I would, when I reached to max for my rifle.

Barnes says you should be able to go past the old X bullet data with the TSX, but I didn't even get close...It had the right velocity though...
