What brand of brass do you prefer? Is the cost savings worth it buying Hornady brass vs nosler/ Weatherby? Any suggestions for the best place to shop for said brass? Locally I can only get hornady at 2bucks each, next closest in GP I can get nosler for 2.25each.

i get more reloads from nosler brass than i do from wby i'm probably a tad hot, primer pockets get loose. i think the wby brass is softer and the nosler brass looks like its annealed and you pay a lot more for it

Dogleg..........I bought some Nosler brass for my 300 Wby and it appeared to be R-P not Norma. It weighed the same and was the same color, whereas Norma always seems to be a slightly different color, more orangey. It also released it's primers at exactly the same powder charge as the R-P brass I had. A load which my W-W 300 H&H fireformed brass, will hold primers for 4-5 firings.
My conclusion......If it walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, and looks like a duck.....................

I was able to accumulate about 400 or so W-W 300 H&H cases over the past few years so I'm good for my 300 H&H and my two 300 Wbys and the 6.5-300 Wby I'm considering, for likely the rest of my days. This is the way to go in my opinion, as the old W-W brass is far tougher than anything on the market today. I was just able to grab another 100 new cases for less than $1.50 ea to add to my hoard...............I just love the look of new brass, and the feel, and the smell...........Yep, my name is Doug and I'm an addict.............
