Well after 20 years I thought it might be time to get another 300 win magnum so the stainless vanguard S2 is on the way as well as brass , dies, and 165 ttsx's. Powder is limited to imr 4831 , RL17 ,RL 22, imr 4350, H4350 and 4064, 4895

I have some 200 gr partitions kicking around here as well so feel free to share some insight with them as well

So lets hear em.

I'd be inclined to start with a near full dose of one of the 4350s and see how that fairs for you
With 200 grain bullets I always had best luck with 7828
Cheers Tony

4064 and 4895 are a tad fast for the 300WM. They will work but often wont give you the best velocity and in my experience wont give you the best accuracy.
4350 should work well but I've never used it myself.
I'm not familiar with Alliant rifle powders so can't really comment on those. I do know many use RL22 in 300WM with great results.

I use H4831 and used to use IMR4831 (H became easier for me to find locally) but I've never used the 165gr TTSX.

I use the 168 with better results. It has a rounder ogive and seems to be less picky. Anyway, I just took the accuracy powder from the Barnes data (Sticky up top) which was IMR 4831. My load is basically the starting load, but it showed pressure signs early. All kinds of speed though. Always a good idea to work up with Barnes bullets and their data over the years has been a little wonkey.

I use RL 22 AND H414. Both are awesome in my gun. I only tried
150 and 168 gr. But both were faster than the "book" speed by 150 f/s.
I have since switched to 150 gr GMX as they shoot tighter groups in my
Howa. My other load uses 200 gr Accubonds over RL22.
RL22 is definately worth a try

Just be careful when using data. Sometimes you can use the data from other bullets and iit works out. Typically I end up about two grains under other data, sometimes the same and sometimes you can't get past the starting data. I know that all rifles are different but they sure seem "differenter, oftener" with copper.
.

On a side note, the 168 can shoot through a moose. Or muskox lengthwise but you give up a bit of impact on the broadside shots.
