300 win mag BLR loads??

Hey guys i have a browning BLR in 300 win mag. I've tried a couple different loads that my friends shoot out of their Tikkas and Thompson centres, I'm currently shooting a 180 grain BTSP hornady interlock with 79 grains of h1000. best group is 2.5 inches at 100M. anyone have any suggestions or loads that work well in their 300 win mag BLR? i Hunt bears, elk, moose, and deer. i also live in grizz country hence why i chose a stout round like the 300 win mag. any recipes, or first hand knowledge would be appreciated. thanks,

H1000 works great with 200+ bullets. with 180 you will have better results with H4831

Start from minimum and work up.
If you think there is any other way to develop a load, you are not doing it right and you could miss the best load or...

does better with cheap federal 180 grain bullets. i believe they were the federal power shock. i would hand load them like that but i have no clue what powder they use. i do know the case is considerably less filled then my current load.

Just my 2 cent's but I would try a little faster burn rate such as 4350 / 4831 . If you have a chrony , I would be looking for around 2950 / 3000 FPS with a 180gr pill, with the charge of H-1000 and your rifle with the above charge weight stated I don't think your getting there, but I maybe wrong. And PLEASE do not take some one else's charge and go for it.
Start at min & work up carefully.

(I would bet a coffee that it's more of burn rate of H-4350 or very close to it).

I have a 300 Win. Mag. but it's a Sako 85 Grey Wolf and have developed a load using 240gr Woodleigh bullets at about 2600 fps MV. Should be good for smashing through heavy bone.

I have a BLR but it's a 358 Winchester. Not a lot of extraction power so I'm careful not to load the BLR too hot.
