You people who think guns and dicks are psychologically linked really bother me. I like the .300 best simply because of ballistic advantages; it's bigger, shoots harder, the case is long and ........ Oh, wait . ......... never mind.

Nothing wrong with Plastikka's, Montucky's, or 100% plastic Glocks. Rem 700's are okay, too ;) :D

The only thing plastic on my T3 is the mag and floorplate. I'm okay with that. It functions smoothly and reliably, shoots almost every load to the same POI (I have a 100 yard, 5-shot group that measures under 1", shot with 5 different loads), and balances well. It's not a Kimber Montana, but it's not priced like one, either.

Love the .300 Mag. I know alot of guys that shoot the 7mm. MAG. An old hunter told me one time that a lot of moose are walking around with 7 mag slugs in them. Can't say one way or the other, but I know the knock down power of the .300 is good.

And for that matter a stick with a sharp piece of metal on the end of it, traveling at a whopping 290fps.

Shot placement, shot placement, shot placement.......................

But to the original question, I vote 7mm RM. I was debating between the 2 and think i will choose the 7mm. i just did not like the recoil of the 300 mag
 
Found this 7mm 160gr accubond one the opposite side of a moose after braking the shoulder on the opposite side. Dropped in its tracks..
