300 wm BIG ENOUGH FOR deer

I won't taunt you then - I understand your situation as I am amnesiac who suffers from deja vu.
:p
which reminds me of the time the French existentialist Jean-Paul Sartre was sitting in a cafe when a waitress approached him: "Can I get you something to drink, Monsieur Sartre?"
Sartre replied, "Yes, I'd like a cup of coffee with sugar, but no cream".
Nodding agreement, the waitress walked off to fill the order and Sartre returned to working. A few minutes later, however, the waitress returned and said, "I'm sorry, Monsieur Sartre, we are all out of cream -- how about with no milk?"

This thread is killing me.:D First off, it is not the caliber or rifle being considered that is most important. First in the order is the extra equipment you must have in order to "hunt deer". A $70,000 pickup, really high up off the ground, really, really noisy; a trailer with at least 4 really muddy quads; rangefinder; very expensive clothing; then the firearm. Here's my choice for this year:

Here I am at the range, firing my three "sighting in" shots (only three because the recoil is so bad, that is all I can hack, plus the ammo is too expensive) Oh yeah, a 300 is a way too small for killer attack deer.....:p

According to a survey of over 12,500 moose kills, the 300 Win mag required the most number of shots to do the job.

That is an interesting (old) survey.

It also proves the 7mm RM is more effective than the .375 H&H on moose.
I'll have to ensure that the second shot will be a reduced load, with only 32% charge under the bullet.

does daisy make a magnum in .177 ,I know shot placement is everything but i like the extra power...just in case.
Yes. Most Daisys are 245fps but now they have several models in the 495fps range. Now, I don't know about you, but anytime you can double your muzzle velocity, you have definitely gone magnum!! Go Daisy!!

I dont see the 750 nitro on the list or some other fine recomendations we have made....... what up

True enough. On the bright side, for me, I recently picked up a Husqvarna in 358 Norma Magnum and the results for that calibre on the chart look good:D:p. That's my choice for my draw this year in the B.C. central interior:D.
