I use 71grns of IMR 4831, pushing 180 grn pill. This is the flatest shooting load in my gun.

In both my 300's-- 70 gr of imr 4350 with Fed GM mag primers with 180 gr sst's or 180 sierra's shoot very well and kill very well also----Montrock

Had my best luck with IMR 4831 as well. Don't remember the load, would have to go check through my notes.

H1000 was dynamite with Hornady 190 grain boat tail soft points.

4831 for heavier bullets, 4350 for lighter. Might have had a tad more velocity with other powders, but none were more accurate.

I've had good luck with RL22 out to past 400 yards. Past that, and H1000 is my powder of choice. Thousand yard shooting with .300s is how that powder got its name.

In that case, RL22 should be the path to easy success. I'll bet that 73-75 grains with a 180 will get you there.

I use 70.5gr. Of Reloader22, and 210 Gr. Berger VLD (hunting) bullets. Seat them 0.030" off the rifling, and I get sub MOA out to 1760yards (1mile).

At least in my rifle.

All the loads listed in this thread will do fine.

72gr of IMR-4831 pushing a 180gr Barnes TSX gives me MOA in my 300.

I do want to try some Reloader though...

180 Partition chased by 75 grains of RL22 gets the job done in my 700CDL.
200 Partition with 74 grains of IMR 7828.
175 Barnes LRX and 74 grains of Winchester WXR
All these loads should be approached from at least 3 grains below and worked up carefully.

I use IMR7828ssc with 180gr Nosler Partitions. Just over 3000fps in my Tikka T3.
