He has 5 of them and swears by them. The one he upgraded to( viper) is a 6x24x40 tactical style. Has the range /holdover bars in it. I have to admit that the optics in it impressed me.This one also has just over 4 inches of eye relief whereas his old scope maybe gave him 1.5 or so. But me still thinks that his old one was a factory screwup.He was happy that it wasn't bouncing off his nose every shot.All in all it turned from a ugly duckling to maybe a Canada goose. As was mentioned above..it is a factory sporter,but at the time of first shooting it till now,I bedded it for him and strengthened up the fore stock with bedding and steel keystock to take the twist out of it. Pretty flimsy stock to begin with...would have been nice to shoot it with a good scope before working on it and compare it to the end result now.
Nice to see everything finally come together. He is going to be using it for elk next month and the old fella better give me a steak or 2 if he tags out!!!
