I have just acquired a Sako 75 in 300 WSM. This is a new caliber in my collection and I will be reloading for this rifle, so am looking for some pet loads.
It has a 1-11 twist barrel, and it is 24 3/8" long.
I will be sticking to the 180-190 grain bullet weights. I have no need for lighter stuff.
I would like to get my hands on the new Accubond LR bullets when they become available.
Just interested to see what powders fellow shooters are using and what velocities can be achieved.

I use same gun and same caliber.
After using soft point on deer once,
Promised myself no more jacketed bullets.
Unneccesary damage cause of bullet fragmentation and meat you want to eat is full of lead.
Started with Barnes TTSX 168gr
First load was W760 64.8gr and on 230yars dropped moose caw in her tracks.
Last season load was R19 65.5gr and had 1/2" group did not have chance to use it hunting.
Only thing with barnes is quick barrel fouling, so clean your gun with butch bore shine copper remover and wont get discouraged like i was on the begining until someone told me what the problem was.

Reloader 17, or if you cant find that H4350. For everything above 155gr. Now for bullets... the accubond should be good, the GMX works very well also. If you find the need for long range rounds load up a few bergers or 208 gr amax's and keep them in your kit. By long range I mean 500-800 yards.

I also have a Sako 75 300WSM (SM action) and am running 150gr TTSX. Unless you have the first year 300WSM in the V action you may find the magazine length to limiting when trying to run +180gr bullets, I know I did.

I shoot a Savage 10 24" barrel and I most often use the 208g Amax bullet for its high BC. I also went to R17 as it reported to give the best velocities. I am getting an average of 2824 fps. That works out pretty good for the long range stuff I like to play around with and its still not maxed out but I like to keep things on the mellow side of loading.
