300 yard Swiss Arms groups, Update post 25 w/ 200 yard groups, 0.6MOA!

That is a nice group for a service rifle. Well done.

I had a HK SL8 that was pretty sweet also. Maybe a can find some pics, if I kept any. One was 3 or 4 shots at 100 meters in the shape of a dime. Blew my mind away that day!

Over the weekend, I was marking at the butt for a guy who shot a solid 10 round 1.5MOA group at 500m with C77 balls and C7A2. He lost the match because he did not detect a change in the wind direction.

During my last military posting at Shearwater, on my Sea King maintenance crew was a young technician who was one place away from the Queen's Medal.
He also could not read a wind change and a more learned army soldier took the medal in 2006 IIRC.

That's some damn fine shooting there. I'd be ecstatic if I shot that well at 500m.

I went out shooting again today and was very impressed with the results. One group of 10 rounds was 2.5" @ 200 yards, and one group of 5 rounds was 1.2" @ 200 yards. An impressive 0.6 MOA.

Shot using Swiss Arms Classic Green using my Hornady V-Max reloads. Optic was a Trijicon ACOG TA31F. The rifle was rested both on the magazine (short mag) and under the stock, providing improved support and allowing me to shoot better groups.

Impressive shooting bro! That's one hell of a group.

It's nice that you can also find how the POI changes depending on how the rifle's resting. Super valuable information when you're out shooting in varying situations.

The rifles are capable but they are load particular. My 1:7 black special will shoot 0.75 MOA with Hornady 75grain. Consistency with your position also matters a lot with these rifles. I mag rest and hold close to the receiver.
