3006 in Remington SPS

Remington 700? if so, $750's not bad, but not that good either. Personally, i'd be going at least $100 less(if it is indeed a rem 700)

$750 is high. They have been blowing the SPS DM 700's out for at least $100 less. Check with some of the site sponsors, they may still have stock from that promotion. For $50 more, you can get a discounted CDL, which has much better finishing.

Way too much if it's just a basic SPS DM. Wolverine sells new for $525 and there's the Cabelas package deal as well. Unless it's in a higher end stock, stainless or heavy barrelled, the asking price is probably way too high to even negotiate a fair price.
I'd find out exactly what model it is and hit some sponsor websites for pricing. If he's asking the same as new pricing, remember that buying from a supplier comes with warranty and customer service as well.

The only SPS SS DM they made in 2006 had camo stocks, and sold for $799 new back then.

If its brand new, unfired, $750 is reasonable
