I just bought a box of remington express 300gr sjhp for black bear because I was assured by the gunstore guy that they were perfect for black bear but all the reading I have done suggests the bullet will break apart too quick to even break a shoulder on a large bear. Is this true, should I keep this box for practice and buy another brand?
PS:I hunt in grizz territory sometimes and would like to be prepared for an encounter(non-###ual) as well.
