And when's the last time you saw 308 Norma ammo at the local gas station when you lose your ammo through some accident and you're out in the hills hunting?

I cannot remember the last time I lost or forgot my ammo when going hunting!!  Eagleye.

Yeah, that's always an excuse I hear about not shooting unusual calibers. Personally I like the odd chamberings, because I like to be different. And like you said EE, I've never forgotten my ammo either. If I did, I probably should have stayed home anyway  BTW, I'm waiting for my .308 Norma that's on its way right now 8) :D

Agreed! That is always the argument, but I cannot remember ever forgetting or losing ammo in forty years of hunting.

What are you getting in 308 Norma?

Ted

I can remember a couple of times that the airline lost my luggage for me!! Not hunting but these things do happen!!

You certainly have a valid point there.

Where you live Ted you need nothing more than to step into your back yard for all the hunting opportunities a man/woman could want!

Not quite, but pretty close. :)

Kristian,

I am seriously thinking about ordering another one of the Stevens 200s in 300 Win Mag. River Rat took the one I just got to the range this past Sunday and it shoots into an inch with the very first load we tried in it.

By just setting the barrel back and rechambering, I could have another 308 Norma very quickly and for not much money: $300 for the rifle, $125 for the chambering job, and $50 for shipping two ways = $475 for a brand new 308 Norma mag that I know will shoot!

Think about it ............ 8)
